PSG have announced the return of four of their very best players ahead of their Premier League double-header.
Luis Enrique’s side face Manchester United in a Saturday friendly and then Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup.
PSG’s pre-season so far hasn’t gone to plan, with just nine first team players arriving for the opening training of the season.
Defeats have also followed, most notably 3-0 against second tier Real Mallorca, a match where just three senior players featured.
However, things will step up against United.
PSG announce major squad returns
PSG have announced their squad for the Sweden friendly with Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves, and Marquinhos all returning.
It’s still far from ideal for PSG, but things should improve even further before facing Villa on Wednesday.
Achraf Hakimi, Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, Lucas Hernandez, Lucas Digne, and Warren Zaïre Emery, and World Cup winner Fabián Ruiz are expected to return in dribs and drabs.
New signing from Monaco, Maghnes Akliouche, is also not available against United, but that could change against Villa.
Meanwhile, a deal for Ajax’s Mika Godts is expected to be announced in the coming days.
