Ousmane Dembele reportedly lost his cool with the France squad during their 2-0 World Cup semi-final defeat to Spain.
Favourites France were played off the park by their European neighbours in one of the most comprehensive tactical performances the tournament has seen.
And L’Equipe report that Dembele was well aware of what was happening when the half-time whistle was blown.

However, they claim his rant backfired, with the squad not appreciating his moment of anger.
Yet good friend Kylian Mbappe appeared to back him up post-match.
“Spain stuck to their game plan,” he said. “We didn’t press well.
“Their midfielders had too much time to think and distribute the ball.”
L’Equipe’s report reads: “In an attempt to spark a revolt, Ousmane Dembele addressed the players in the locker room on Tuesday evening, at halftime of the World Cup semi-final between France and Spain.
“The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner spoke about the French team’s pressing game, explaining that he found it poorly coordinated.
“His comments irritated some of his teammates, who felt that Dembele only became agitated when he himself was in trouble and not in other circumstances.”
