Luis Enrique has spoken about Ousmane Dembele’s tricky start to the season.
The current Ballon d’Or holder returned from the World Cup and featured in all of PSG‘s three games to start the season.
He’s struggled, though, and was taken off at half-time during a 2-2 Ligue 1 opening match against Rennes.
Luis Enrique then gave him a dressing down post match, and he’s since been given a period of rest.

Speaking about the call, the coach said: “He made a good decision this week, and we’ll have to do the same throughout the season with other players.
“When we feel a player hasn’t played well or that there are other solutions, we have to accept it. That’s all. The players are used to my method.
“He is an essential player for us. He made a great effort during his holidays to be available for both Super Cups.”
Earlier, PSG announced the decision in a statement.
“In agreement with the coach and the sporting director, Ousmane Dembele will benefit from a period of rest over the next few days,” they wrote.
“He will resume training on Monday with the rest of the squad.”
Earlier, Luis Enrique was asked why he took Dembele off at half-time and gave a strong response.
“That’s football. Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t won anything, nothing,” he said, forgetting the UEFA Super Cup.
“If you think about what you’ve won, you’re not going to win anything!
“The most important thing for me is that there’s no room for complacency: you have to show every day, in every training session, in every match that you’re ready.
“Otherwise, it’s easy to rest… No! We’re always looking to win, and to do that, you have to step out of your comfort zone. Is that clear?”
