Mateo Guendouzi has spoke out after becoming the story of world football on Wedensday night.
The Frenchman helped Fenerbahce past Lyon, booking their spot in the league phase of the Champions League.
At full-time the former Marseille and Lorient man lost control, jumping and flailing around in front of the OL fans.
His teammates attempted to calm him down, but the damage was already done with scuffles breaking out on the way to the changing rooms.
The scenes were nothing new for the always-provocative Guendouzi, but he gave his own reasoning post-match.

He said in the mixed zone: “You know, when you have 60,000 people insulting your family, your mother, your children, even before the match, and no one in the refereeing camp tells the stadium to be quiet…
“Because I know that in France, when this kind of thing happens, there comes a point where they talk to the fans and the match can be stopped.
“For 90 minutes, even longer with the warm-up, they insulted my family. It’s something that affects you.”
Guendouzi then explained a hand gesture he used which comes from a Marseille rapper.
He added: “If you want to tease, then it goes both ways. They insulted my mother and my family, which I found disrespectful.
“But if we can’t even celebrate the way we want, I think that’s a shame.
“Everyone knows I support OM, I’ve never hidden it. It’s just teasing, they insulted my family, but if we’re not allowed to do the Jul sign, where are we headed?
“I’ve seen matches where Lyon fans celebrate in front of the stands at the Vélodrome.
“It has to work both ways. For me, I have the right to celebrate. There’s nothing malicious about the Jul sign.”
