There were some disgraceful scenes during Fenerbahce’s match against Kocaelispor when Matteo Guendouzi was hit by a bottle.
The Frenchman was celebrating Marco Asensio’s opener in first half injury time when an apparently full bottle struck him in the head.
Fener‘s players instantly goaded the home fans, but it was no laughing matter as the game had to be stopped with Guendouzi dazed.
Eventually half-time was called and Fenerbahce completed a 2-0 win in the second half to keep their Turkish Super Lig title tilt alive.
Fener are only three points behind leaders Galatasaray and have been flying since Domenico Tedesco replaced Jose Mourinho in the dugout.
