Despite a whopping 42 goals last season, Robert Lewandowski has been advised to leave Barcelona.
The 36-year-old striker had his best season yet since moving to Spain and was clearly clicking under Hansi Flick.
However, according to Poland legend Jan Tomaszewski, his teammates aren’t interested.
“Robert should now end his career in Barcelona and move to a less demanding club in Saudi Arabia, as the best footballers in the world have done,” he told Super Express Sport
“Let’s be honest. It’s the end. Robert isn’t very popular in the team. The top players aren’t playing for him.
“He has to realize that he’ll be a substitute this season and will be playing against tired opponents. His eyes want it, his brain wants it, but his heart won’t allow it.
“Robert has the biggest contract, and that’s a burden for Barcelona. His departure would free up an incredible amount of money.
“If Robert were to move to Saudi Arabia, he would have a much better position in the Polish national team. Why? Because not every game would cost him so much energy.”
