Poland legend Jan Tomaszewski has some bold opinions on Barcelona.
The Spanish giants have lost their last two matches in the Champions League, 2-1 to PSG, and then a far more shocking 4-1 to Sevilla.
Tomaszewski, who played in Spain, was praising countryman Robert Lewandowski on Super Express, saying he should have been in the Ballon d’Or top ten, and he then tired fire on head coach Hansi Flick.
“They definitely have a squad for the Champions League, the most important trophy,” he said.
“Unfortunately, the coaching staff should hold out until the end, and I hope they don’t extend his contract, because the German gentleman isn’t performing very well.
“He can’t continue. With such a strong footballing force, he should have won everything in Europe, and they lost to Inter, a good team, but the 5-0 final against PSG exposed them.”
However, this wasn’t Tomaszewski deflecting Lewandowski’s problems onto Flick, as he then told the striker to leave too.
“Robert should end his time at Barcelona right now and go to a club in Saudi Arabia, like the best players in the world have done,” he said.
“Let’s be honest, this is the end. Robert isn’t very popular with the team, and Barcelona’s best players aren’t passing him the ball.”
