The Collectif Ultras Paris has decided not to travel to Lens for the Champions Trophy.
PSG will face off against RC Lens in the French season opener but without their main ultra group.
Paris begin their season with the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa on August 12, and then they stage France’s equivalent on August 16.
Luis Enrique’s Ligue 1 winners will face Coupe de France champions Lens at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis – which is the source of the problem.
PSG’s main ultra group stage boycott over venue
The Bollaert is Lens’ home ground, with the LFP failing to find a neutral location for the yearly match.
In response, the Collectif Ultras Paris issued the following statement:
We maintain our position: this type of match should be played at a neutral venue, with an equitable allocation of tickets between the supporters of the two clubs.
Once again, the LFP officials, whose incompetence no longer needs to be demonstrated, have been unable to organise this event properly and turn it into a genuine popular celebration.
They left it up to the clubs to settle the matter by means of a random draw to determine which one would host the match at its own stadium… Quite simply, a lunatic decision.
Everyone is, of course, free to choose whether or not they wish to attend the match. As for us, we will not be attending.
Last year’s edition saw PSG beat Marseille in the bizarre neutral location of Kuwait City.

PSG’s pre-season hasn’t gone to plan so far
PSG also aren’t in the best of moods as their success continues to disrupt their season preparations.
Players were given extra holiday due to their Champions League win and World Cup participation, resulting in just nine senior arrivals for the first training session of the season.
In a friendly against Real Mallorca, PSG then lost 3-0 with just three first teamers, and only two started.
They then drew against Manchester United last time out with four World Cup stars making the bench.
Now the rest of the troops, including semi-finalists from France and Spanish champion Fabian Ruiz are expected to return for the super cup matches.
