Bordeaux could yet be saved from another year of Gerard Lopez as their owner.
Sud-Ouest report that Bayern Munich and Germany legend Oliver Kahn has submitted a late bid of €15million to buy the struggling giants.
Under Lopez’s leadership Bordeaux were administratively relegated from the second tier to the fourth last summer and failed in their promotion push for the 2024/25 season.
The hugely-unpopular Lopez has also seen his Portuguese Boavista side relegated amid reports of unpaid bills at the training ground.
Lopez and his team were set to face the commercial court to submit their continuity plan on Tuesday, but that meeting will now be postponed to asses if Kahn’s offer is credible.
