Fernando Morientes thinks former side Real Madrid have got their priorities wrong.
The three-time Champions League-winning striker was commenting on a chaotic day in the LaLiga transfer market.
Real not only broke their transfer record for €125million Yan Diomande, but they also announced a mega six-year contract extension with Vinicius Jr.
Yet despite all the success, one late move dampened some excitement.
Reports late on Thursday night claimed Rodri has agreed to join Barcelona.
Madrid’s arch rivals confirmed the story to media outlets and will now start negotiations with Manchester City.
Rodri was a very long-term Madrid target and even talked up joining the team despite his Atletico past.
Rodri’s Barcelona switch leaves Morientes angry
However, he now looks set for Barca, and Morientes isn’t happy.
“This is a bad joke,” he said on COPE. “They think we’re a bit stupid.
“It’s clear that Madrid didn’t want Rodri.
“Real Madrid doesn’t sleep in such situations. You might be able to sleep with a 14-year-old right-back, but not with this type of player.”

He continued: “Real Madrid didn’t give their all.
“Now they’re shifting the blame onto Rodri and claiming he wanted to move to FC Barcelona because of their playing style.
“That’s a tasteless joke for anyone who knows anything about football.
“When Real Madrid aimed for such transfers, they succeeded. Figo came, Zidane came, Owen came, Ronaldo came…
“Nobody should tell me now that Rodri wanted to play somewhere else.”
