Sergio Conceicao’s reputation as a hot-head hasn’t abandoned him even in Saudi Arabia.
The former long-time FC Porto boss is at Al Ittihad after a stint at AC Milan and all is not well.
Last season’s Saudi Pro League champions are down in sixth and lost captain Karim Benzema to Al Hilal during the January transfer window.
Despite the issues, Ittihad beat Al Hazem 1-0 on Sunday night despite a Moussa Diaby red card.
Yet in the scenes of celebration, Conceicao decided to address an angry fan in the crowd.
Images from behind showed the coach getting emotional as he and the fan exchanged words in English.
“I think about everything, my friend,” he could be heard saying.
“I have a family, and I’m also not satisfied with the team’s current situation.
“For me, it’s about winning, winning. I promise we will fight.”
Eventually he and the fan shook hands, avoiding any sort of crisis pitchside.
