Bayern Munich’s 3-1 friendly win over Leipzig was overshadowed by some worrying scenes for Jamal Musiala.
The attacker came on in the 69th minute, scored in the 81st and then collapsed in the 86th.
Thankfully, new teammate Ismael Saibari was on the scene to stop him hitting the ground dangerously, cushioning his fall.
Musiala was able to walk off the Allianz Arena pitch with the help of medics, but it was still a concerning moment.
Jamal Musiala injury update
Speaking post-match, sporting director Max Eberl said: “The most important thing is: he is doing well. There’s nothing more to say.”
Goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer then added: “We’re keeping our fingers crossed for him.”
According to Sport1: “Musiala complained of dizziness and circulatory problems due to the temperature.
“Initial examinations by Bayern Munich have so far revealed nothing. The 23-year-old will likely have to rest for the next two days to recover.”
Bayern have one more friendly against Heidenheim on the 18th before their season gets underway on the 22nd in the super cup against Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern also saw Konrad Laimer and Min-jae Kim leave the pitch injured, but they also appear to be better than first feared and should be good to go for the super cup.
