Bordeaux are finally back to winning ways after their administration and relegation, and it’s all thanks to Andy Carroll.
The former England striker surprisingly dropped down to the French fourth tier after a season in Ligue 2 with Amiens.
Bordeaux were also in the second tier until going bankrupt, and Carroll has since turned up to help them out.
His first match saw him score twice against Châteaubriant to rescue a point, but Bordeaux still looked in big trouble without a win in four games.
Now in their fifth, they finally have a victory, with Carroll grabbing yet another brace, this time against Saumur.
The surroundings for the 2-1 win looked particularly non-league, but Carroll himself didn’t, storming in to nod in two headers in typical fashion.
