Senegal and Rayo Vallecano’s Pathé Ciss will be holding onto his AFCON medal.
The LaLiga midfielder was one of many left stunned by the overturning of his country’s final win over Morocco last week.
Ciss slammed the decision on social media, calling Morocco ‘crybabies’ and since spoken to the media.
Stopped in the mixed zone after Rayo booked a Conference League quarter-final spot, he told journalists: “I’m more happy than angry.
“How could I be angry when I have my medal here with me? Nobody’s going to take it from me…
“I was going to bring it to give to Ilias Akhomach, but he didn’t want it.”
