AFCON winner Ismail Jakobs has raised some extraordinary suspicions over his Senegal teammates.
Key players Krépin Diatta, Ousseynou Niang and Pape Matar Sarr all dropped out of the 1-0 win over Morocco with the team saying the players simply ‘fell ill’.
Post-match Jakobs said ‘more would come out’ and he’s now made sure of it back with his club Galatasaray.
Speaking to Sportdigital, he said: “My personal suspicion is that three of our players were poisoned.
“It wasn’t just a normal case of food poisoning where they vomited or whatever. These three players really collapsed.
“It was really, really scary. Krépin Diatta was the first player to collapse in the locker room, then the second player, Ousseynou Niang, collapsed during warm-up (pictured).
“I don’t want to blame anyone, but it was definitely no coincidence.
“All three were unable to put their tongues back in. And simply collapsed.”
