Florentino Perez has promised two Real Madrid signings should he win re-election on June 7th.
The veteran is taking on Enrique Riquelme to win his job back and by all accounts he should win comfortably.
Riquelme is making waves, though, talking about his own squad compostition.
The 37-year-old green energy billionaire has said he won’t keep the deal for Jose Mourinho to become coach, and that club legend Raul will be his sporting director.
He’s also said he’ll sign Manchester City’s Rodri, and has promised the names of other players and a coach before the elections take place.
Perez is now set to fight back, but El Chiringuito has got there before him.
Real Madrid transfer news
On the programme, on which Perez regularly appears, host Marcos Benito named Como’s Nico Paz as the first name.
“The Nico Paz buy-back will be triggered once Florentino Perez wins the elections,” he said.
“The best midfielder in Serie A this season will return, key to Como reaching the Champions League for the first time in their history. He will play in the World Cup with Argentina.
“It’s €9 million for a player already valued at €60–70 million.”
The reporter then confirmed the other name, Ibrahima Konate who has left Liverpool for free.
He continued: “He’s been a key figure in France and the Premier League in recent years.
“From what I’ve been told, he has already signed a four-year deal with Real Madrid.
“He’s 27, will play in the World Cup, and would arrive as a free agent. He has said goodbye to Liverpool and will join if Florentino Perez wins.”
