PSG’s Luis Enrique tells the media ‘I would halve my salary to never talk to you again’

Luis Enrique has provided plenty of hilarious press conference moments since joining PSG, but his latest may be the best of the lot.

The European treble-winning Spaniard has made plenty of enemies in the French media, but even those who can’t stand him have to admit he often gets the better of them.

And things were no different ahead of their next Ligue 1 clash against Rennes as Luis Enrique made it clear how much he doesn’t like the media – all with a smile on his face.

“If you tell me right now to sign a contract which means I no longer have to talk to the press but I have to take 25% or even 50% of my salary, I’ll sign it,” he said.

“I’m having a good time, with the press. In fact, with you, I’m having a great time. But if I could choose I wouldn’t have any problem.

“But that’s impossible because the contracts with the clubs oblige the coach to talk.”
