Endrick has given a rare update on his future, and it’s one that will excite Lyon fans.
The Brazilian has lit up France since his January loan signing from Real Madrid that expires on June 30th.
The move appears to have achieved its goal of booking him a World Cup spot as he was included in Carlo Ancelotti’s final squad before his 2026 selection.
Endrick has seven goals and six assists in just 18 games and on occasion he’s looked unplayable, running straight through defenders and lashing in unstoppable strikes.
All signs previously pointed to a return to Madrid in the summer, with the loan to OL not including any purchase options.
However, with Los Blancos in crisis not knowing who will coach them next season, Endrick has admitted he’s pretty clueless.
Endrick’s Real Madrid future
Asked if he will stay if Lyon make the Champions League, he responded: “Honestly, I don’t know.
“I came here on a six-month loan. If I have to return to Real Madrid, I’ll gladly go back.
“If I have to go somewhere else, I’ll go.”
He added: “I really hope we can qualify for the next Champions League. It’s where the club deserves to be.”
Endrick also mentioned that he’s learning French, perhaps hinting at a longer stay.
“I learned a lot from the French speakers at Real Madrid,” he added.
“Camavinga is my friend. Mbappé and I sat together; that’s how I started learning the language.”
Speaking in February, Endrick was similarly mystified about his future.
“Only God knows what will happen, whether he’ll tell me to stay here or not,” he commented.
“Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.”
However, at the time his agent Thiago Freitas said: “What will happen next season? It’s hard to say.
“But one thing is certain: at the end of this season, Endrick will be a Real Madrid player again.”
A Madrid player and then another loan? Lets see what happens in the Americas…
