Inter Miami have ironed out a deal for Brazil international Casemiro.
The free agent from his time at Manchester United will sign a three-year deal in MLS, O Globo report.
Due to league rules on right of refusal, Miami weren’t able to get the deal over the line after Casemiro was approached by LA Galaxy.
However, the outlet adds that MLS itself intervened to get things done.
They claim that Serie A sides Juventus and Inter Miami were both interested in the Real Madrid legend, but Casemiro and his family decided on MLS.
The deal will bring together two of the greatest players in the history of football’s most glamourous rivalry.
At Real Madrid Casemiro faced Lionel Messi’s Barcelona from 2013 to 2021.
Barca won four LaLiga titles to Madrid’s two during that time, but Casemiro won four of his five Champions League titles during the same spell.
