Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami have received a scathing critique from a former rival Mateusz Klich.
Klich, who is best known for his time with Premier League side Leeds, spent 2023 to 2025 in MLS with DC an Atlanta and gave some incredible insight on regular rivals Miami.
Speaking on the Foot Truck YouTube channel, the Polish international said: “I don’t recommend Miami as long as Messi is there.
“It’s a disaster. People are leaving, coaches and physiotherapists are leaving. Organisationally, it’s poor.
“Messi’s father essentially runs the club. Everyone speaks Spanish, and nothing can be done without his approval. The club itself is also 45 to 50 minutes away from Miami.”
Klich then gave some praise to other teams, albeit backhanded.
“Red Bull now has a better stadium, but City is also building a great stadium,” he said of the New York teams.
“There are clubs like Columbus Crew and Cincinnati that have great stadiums and a great base, but life there is very boring,”
