With Ajax currently in the Eredivisie play-off places, they won’t be able to play their matches at home due to an unlikely source.
The Amsterdam giants currently sit fifth in the Dutch top flight, with fifth to eighth entering a play-off for the Conference League.
Should they finish the season in one of those spots, they’ll be playing from mid-May to mid-July, the same time Harry Styles has the Johan Cruyff Arena booked.
The English singer has 10 dates scheduled at the famous Amsterdam stadium and Ajax won’t be able to use it.
Their current contract states that they don’t pay rent on the Arena during that period, giving the club no negotiation room to move Styles aside.
With the singer likely to be far more lucrative than play-offs for a competition a club as grand as Ajax don’t want to be in.
Should such a situation arise, the most likely solution is home games being played at De Toekomst where Jong Ajax currently play.
The Styles outcome is looking likely too, with Ajax sacking Fred Grim after a humiliating 3-1 defeat to Groningen last time out.
Oscar Garcia has stepped up from the youth team, and will likely be a sideshow with his team only going in One Direction.
