PSV Eindhoven have announced an early decision to stop their supporters from travelling to an away Eredivisie match against Ajax in November.
The call, which comes four months ahead of the match, was made due to a number if concerning issues that arose during their last trip to Amsterdam for a 1-1 draw in February.
In a statement, PSV said: “Both clubs have zero tolerance for anti-Semitic slogans.
“At the same time, there is a fear that some of the away fans will not be able to resist the temptation to verbally abuse their Amsterdam rivals.
“To prevent this in the future, PSV is rolling out an awareness program, in collaboration with social institutions and its own PSV Foundation.
“The plan provides that PSV can count on the support of its own fans again for the next away match against Ajax.”
The mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, had already said that PSV fans would be welcome in the Johan Cruyff ArenA for their next match.
