Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven have announced the end of a tuberculosis scare and released Lucas Perez who contracted the virus.
The local health service had been carrying out checks on the squad, even on the day they became champions, but have now come to the conclusion the virus is no longer a threat.
Perez arrived in January from boyhood side Deportivo de La Coruña, but only featured three times for PSV, playing just 24 minutes.
In March it was announced that he’d contracted tuberculosis and had to go into quarantine, and he didn’t play again for Peter Bosz’s side.
Perez has since returned to Spain to look for a new club ahead of his six-month PSV deal expiring on June 30.
