Rather than blaming the referees, Hansi Flick let his silence do the talking after Barcelona’s latest defeat.
The German may have been clutching at straws by pointing at the officials for a humiliating 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey in their previous match.
But against Girona, a 2-1 loss in LaLiga, he may have had a point over a non foul on Jules Konde by Claudio Echeverri in the lead up to the winner.
Flick was unsurprisingly asked about the moment on DAZN post-match, but walked out when Rafa Escrig wouldn’t give his views.
Hansi Flick walks out
“We saw you asking for explanations from the referee for that foul on Kounde, maybe, on the second goal…” Escrig began
“Do you think it was a foul or not?” Flick interrupted. “Come on, now you can say.”
Escrig responded: “I’m here just to ask.”
To which Flick said: “You have no opinion? No? Then I also don’t.”
He then finished before awkwardly walking off: “OK. Then I have nothing to say. OK thanks a lot.”
