Benfica have filed a disciplinary complaint with UEFA against Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde for violent conduct.
A Bola report that the complaint relates to his apparent elbow on Samuel Dahl in the 1-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid.
Referee François Letexier did not note the incident and VAR did not intervene, something Benfica believe was unfair.
The ill-tempered match saw one red card for Jose Mourinho, the ninth of his career.
Real Madrid have also submitted all necessary information to UEFA regarding allegations of racist abuse by Gianluca Prestianni to Vinicius Jr.
