Harry Kane has been the story of the week in the Bundesliga, and has now tried to put the talk to bed.
Kane scored his 99th and 100th goals in the competition in a 4-0 win over Werder Bremen after a week of talk about a Premier League exit clause in his contract.
A story broke that Kane can leave Bayern for €60million to an English side next summer, and sporting director Max Eberl passed up on the opportunity to deny the existence of such a clause.
So did Kane, but he also seemed more concerned about extending his deal.
“These discussions could happen, they haven’t happened yet, but if they do, we’ll just have an open and honest conversation,” he said in regards to extending his current contract.
“For me, the goal is to score the next 100 goals and hopefully even more soon.
“For Bayern Munich, yes. I feel really good here.
“I know there have been a lot of rumours. I always take it as a compliment, but the only thing I can say is that I feel good here, my family is happy.
“I’m not homesick. I still have almost two years on my contract, so it’s not like I’m in the last year and someone’s panicking.
“I’m in a good situation, the club is in a good situation, I think they’re happy with me and I’m happy.”
