Evan Ferguson’s mini revival at Roma appears to be over with his manager singling him out for criticism.
Roma’s Serie A title bid took a near critical blow with a 2-1 defeat to Juventus suggesting the race is just between Napoli, Milan and Inter.
And Gian Piero Gasperini thinks his signings are to blame, particularly those from the Premier League.
He brought on Leon Bailey in the second half only to withdraw him 20 minutes later, but saved his critique for Brighton loanee Ferguson.
“Evan doesn’t convince me, and I didn’t like him at the end of the match either,” he said.
“He hasn’t fit in as expected, like some of the other new signings. We didn’t provide good service to Dybala or Soulé, who have far superior technical ability. You can’t even compare them.”
