Marc Brys, the coach of Cameroon (or is he?) has stepped up his battle with Samuel Eto’o just days before AFCON kicks off.
Cameroon are in disarray ahead of the tournament with football association president Eto’o sacking Brys and announcing his own squad.
However, Brys has said he won’t step down as the president of the country makes those decisions.
Speaking to home Belgian outlet VTM Nieuws, he said: “It comes from someone who is narcissistic and thinks he’s the best.
“From the very first minute, his goal was to get rid of me; he insulted me from the start. I was simply too strong for him.
“Until there is a document signed by the president of the country appointing David Pagou as coach, I, Marc Brys, will remain the national team coach.
“There is no room for discussion. This is how it has worked in Cameroon for 30 years.”
