‘Unequivocal failure – Roma want to cut Evan Ferguson’s loan from Brighton short

AS Roma are hoping to send Evan Ferguson back to Brighton after a disappointing half-season in Italy.

The Irishman arrived on a season-long loan with a £35million option to buy, which Corriere dello Sport say definitely won’t be triggered.

The also add that his most recent showing in defeat to Napoli, has caused head coach Gian Piero Gasperini to look elsewhere.

Ferguson was taken off at half-time as a ‘clear, unequivocal, and inevitable failure’ the outlet claims, with Roma continually linked to new striking targets to reinforce their title challenge.
