The pressure continues to crank up on Xabi Alonso, and there may be an end in sight.
Real Madrid are winless in three, and behind the scenes stories keep popping up over discontent from the likes of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde and Endrick.
Things boiled over in a 2-1 win over Barcelona when Vini staged an almighty sulk, but a report from Mundo Deportivo claims Madrid don’t really understand Alonso’s treatment of the player.
On top of that, the quality of football on display hasn’t been particularly pleasing, and comprehensive defeats to Atletico Madrid and Liverpool could suggest the Barca win was an anomoly.
As such, El Mundo report that December 10th will be decisive as it’s the date Manchester City come to the Bernabeu, and if it’s a schooling for Alonso, it could cause the club to make a decision on his future.
