Antonie Griezmann is now Atletico Madrid’s all-time top scorer on 174 goals.
The Frenchman overtakes Luis Aragonés, whose record stood for 50 years.
The first saw Griezmann finish off a counterattack, and the second put Atleti 3-1 up against Madrid neighbours Getafe.
However, it was far from Atleti’s night, with the away team at the Metropolitano coming back through Oscar Rodriguez and Borja Mayoral to steal a point.
The point was a hugely damaging one too, with Atelti now nine points from LaLiga leaders Girona.
Nevertheless, Griezmann has now made history at the club where he recently said he’s planning to retire.
