Trent Alexander-Arnold is injured again.
The Real Madrid defender will be out for approximately two months with a muscle tear.
The club said in a statement: “Following tests carried out today on our player Trent Alexander-Arnold by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his left quadriceps. His recovery will be monitored.”
The former Liverpool right back has already faced a spell on the sidelines in Spain and has only played 11 of a possible 20 games this season.
Last time out he looked back on track with an assist in a 3-0 win away at Athletic, but the news is another setback.
The update leaves Xabi Alonso without a right-back for the year with Dani Carvajal not expected back until 2026.
Someone check on Fede Valverde…
