Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has given a brutal verdict on Liverpool’s deal for Alexander Isak.
The Reds paid Newcastle £125million for the striker, making him the third-most expensive footballer in history.
Isak had become a hero at Newcastle after doing well at Real Sociedad, but poorly at Borussia Dortmund.
Kroos cited that fact as a reason why Liverpool paid to much while speaking on his podcast, Einfach mal Luppen.
“I trust our listeners, but I’d say that roughly half of them have never heard of Isak,” he said to his brother Felix.
“Judge for yourselves. Seriously.
“Dortmund, well. Not much has happened there… It’s a lot of money, without a doubt.”
