Borussia Dortmund fans hoping for Ralf Rangnick to sort out their mess may have some good news.
The current Austria national team head coach has been linked with a directorial role at BVB amid one of their worst seasons in modern history.
Rangnick was previously linked with coaching Bayern Munich as things unravelled under Thomas Tuchel at the tail end of last season, but he decided to stay across the border.
Now though, it’s looking like the end may be in sight, with both the president of the FA, and his second in command, criticising the German.
“Rangnick is very difficult,” OFB President Wolfgang Bartosch told Profil. “I try to maintain contact, but he always makes his own unpredictable moves.”
Vice president Johann Gartner added: “If you look at it objectively, we’re no further ahead with Rangnick than we were under Franco Foda.
“His style of play is predictable. I’m missing the goals and the results. I expect new ideas from the team manager.
“The sporting success has masked a lot. But the mood has changed.”
Dortmund fans maybe shouldn’t be getting their hopes up too much, though, as it’s now being reported that Bayern Munich are also interested in Rangnick, with honorary president Uli Hoeness a big fan.
