Rayan Cherki and Will Still have announced their departures from Lyon and Lens respectively.
The pair both announced that they will be leaving before the end of their contracts.
Cherki’s Lyon beat Angers 2-0 to finish sixth in the table, and the attacking midfielder then announced he’d be following Alexandre Lacazette out of the door.
”It was my last game , I think, with Lyon, but I’m cautious, because I know what I experienced last summer, I know what I’ve been through,” he said.
“I’ll see where the wind takes me, I’m proud of what I’ve done for OL.
“I’m ready to try a new chapter in my career. Thank you to OL, the coach, the staff, the president, my teammates and everyone at the club.”
Cherki was referring to a failed move to Borussia Dortmund last summer, but it now looks like he’ll instead move to arch rivals PSG.
Still, meanwhile, will leave Lens despite having a contract until 2027, with his partner suffering severely from Encephalitis.
“I will not be the coach of RC Lens next season,” he said. “It was the last game of the season at Bollaert, but it was also my last. For multiple reasons.
“The main reason that pushes me to make this decision is the fact that I need to go home. Everyone is well aware of what happened in my life. That’s why.”
