Joan Laporta has sought the advice of Pep Guardiola in deciding who should manage Barcelona next year.
Barca are currently working out who should replace Xavi, who will leave the club on June 30.
Hansi Flick is understood to be president Laporta’s favourite, while former players Thiago Motta and Rafa Marquez would be the affordable options.
However, since it brought him so much success during his first stint as president, Laporta continues to seek the advice of club legends.
Laporta made it a rule to always consult Johann Cruyff when it came to big decisions, and Catalonian sports radio station ‘Tot Costa’ claim he now goes to Guardiola for advice.
And on this occasion, the Manchester City manager had no doubts that the club’s next manager should be Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
De Zerbi has a contract termination clause of £10million, but with his stunning displays in the Premier League, it could well prove money well spent.
