Andreas Pereira has explained the explosion of talent at Palmeiras while invertedly making a subtle dig towards former club Manchester United.
The Belgium born midfielder returned to his home country of Brazil this summer, joining Abel Ferreira’s high-flying Palmeiras.
The Serie A team have twice won the Copa Libertadores in recent years while producing elite talents in Endrick and Estevao.
Pereira has gone back the other way, and despite playing for huge European sides like Valencia and Lazio, Palmeiras’ facilities are the cream of the crop.
“It was really good [the adaptation], it’s been easy. The structure is incredible,” he told ESPN Brasil.
“I knew it here when I came with the national team to train here, I knew several players on the squad. That made it much easier.
“Compared to what’s out there, it’s the elite of football. Few clubs have the structure Palmeiras has.
“I’ve worked for several big clubs in Europe, and I can say that Palmeiras has the best structure I’ve ever worked for. Better than Manchester United when I was there.
“They provide complete support for the player and the team. What they provide for the player is the best I’ve ever worked with.”
