Lyon have instantly shipped out €8million goalkeeping signing Matt Turner to New England Revolution.
That’s because the deal was agreed before John Textor stepped down as club president.
L’Equipe report that no one at the club wanted Turner, but the deal had to be ratified, even during a summer when money is clearly at a premium.
OL now have a player they didn’t want on a three year deal, with the man who signed him stepping down as president, something which reportedly helped them in their Ligue 1 survival.
L’Equipe also add that Lyon hired a lawyer to try and break the deal with Nottingham Forest, but to no avail.
