Luis Enrique had nothing to reproach his players for after PSG lost 2-1 to Sporting in the Champions League.
The result saw the defending champions loosen their grip on the last 16, and it came after being knocked out the Coupe de France by city rivals Paris FC.
Speaking post match the Spaniard gave a very honest assessment of things.
“We lost because they scored two goals. Our team only scored one,” he said to Canal+.
“It’s the best away game we’ve played. I’m very proud of my players. With this mentality, I’m sure we’ll go far.
“The result is disappointing, it’s a shame. I only saw one team throughout the entire match.
“We were superior to the opponent, who were very good.
“It’s disappointing because it’s unfair, it’s difficult to talk about football right now. Football is shit.”
