Toulouse president Damien Comolli is heading to court on October 28 for alleged fraud and forgery.
According to SoFoot, the Marseille prosecutor’s office says the former Liverpool and Tottenham sporting director is ‘being prosecuted for organised gang fraud, forgery, use of forgery, and the illegal exercise of the activity of a sports agent or complicity’.
Eight other people will also be heard, including Christoph Galtier’s son and professional agent John Valovic-Galtier.
The investigation was opened in 2022 and seeks to find out whether the people interviewed received money from transfers without having an agent’s license.
According to the prosecution, this system would have allowed the approval of several contracts of professional players and coaches by the French Football Federation, a victim of these supposed actions, and the payment of numerous agent commissions.
SoFoot note that the penalties can be up to ten years in prison and a fine of one million euros.
