Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has incredibly backed calls for fans not to travel to the United States for the 2026 World Cup.
Calls have increased over a boycott for the co-hosts who have openly discussed a takeover of NATO ally Greenland.
Responding to comments from anti-corruption lawyer Mark Pieth, Blatter wrote on social media: “”For the fans, there’s only one piece of advice: stay away from the USA!”
“I think Mark Pieth is right to question this World Cup. #MarkPieth #GianniInfantino #DonaldTrump #FIFAWorldCup2026 #USA.”
In his full comments, Pieth said: “If we consider everything we’ve discussed, there’s only one piece of advice for fans: Stay away from the USA!
“You’ll see it better on TV anyway. And upon arrival, fans should expect that if they don’t please the officials, they’ll be put straight on the next flight home. If they’re lucky.”
