Members of Fenerbahce’s board want Jose Mourinho gone after he grabbed the nose of Okan Buruk and made headlines world wide.

Fener were knocked out of the Turkish Cup by league leaders Galatasaray and Mourinho pinched the nose of opposition coach Buruk at full time with the coach flopping to the ground.

Mourinho has only been given a three-game ban for the incident, with all those coming in the Turkish Cup.

However, according to Özgür Sancar, a correspondent for AS in Turkey, Mourinho would be gone before that if it were up to a number of the club’s executives.

Yet that eventuality looks virtually impossible, as Sancar adds it would cost a staggering €40million to fire Mourinho before the end of his contract in 2026.
