Real Madrid have decided on their next head coach for when Carlo Ancelotti leaves the post next year.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso is the runaway candidate according to Marca journalist Matias Prats.
Speaking on Radio Marca on Monday, he said: “Real Madrid has chosen Xabi Alonso to coach the team next year.”
Alonso, who played for Los Blancos from 2009 – 2014, is only in his first full season in senior coaching.
However, the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich man is recieving rave reviews for his work in Leverkusen.
