Marc Andre ter Stegen has only been injured for a matter of days, and Barcelona are already inundated with offers.
The club captain and Germany no.1 tore his patellar tendon during a 5-1 LaLiga win and will be out of action for a reported eight months.
LaLiga president Javier Tebas has confirmed that the club will have dispensation to sign an emergency replacement, and several names have already made themselves available.
Keylor Navas, the four-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid was the first to make himself available, with a story seemingly emerging from his agents into the Spanish press.
Next, there have been two retired candidates making things clear. Wojciech Szczęsny, who hung up his gloves this summer after four Serie A titles with Juventus has also had his intent put into the Spanish and Polish media.
Meanwhile, former Barcelona man Claudio Bravo has been even more blatant, saying he’s ready to reverse his own retirement decision with Real Betis in the summer.
The 41-year-old, who was previously Ter Stegen’s no.2, has now conducted an interview in which he said: “If Barcelona call me, I will be ready.”
