Cristiano Ronaldo may be heading for another trophyless season at Al Nassr with back-to-back defeats in the Saudi Pro League.
Nassr lost 2-1 to Brendan Rodger’s Al Qadsiah on Thursday night and with a defeat in their previous match, Al Hilal are now a healthy four points clear at the top of the table.
Ronaldo can’t take much of the blame as the league’s top scorer on 14 goals, while summer recruit Joao Felix is just behind on 13.
Coach Jorge Jesus is just as used to winning as his countrymen, and showed he’ll likely start cracking the whip on some players.
At full-time Saudi winger Abdulrahman Ghareeb refused Jesus’ instructions to go and applaud the fans and received an almighty look.
With just eight appearances this season, we might not see much more of Ghareeb, especially if he’s used as an example to get the team back on track.
