With Cristiano Ronaldo ending his Al Nassr strike, head coach Jorge Jesus has also stopped one of his own.
Ronaldo returned and scored against Al Fateh after taking himself out of three matches over what he perceives as bias towards title rivals Al Hilal in the transfer market.
Manager Jesus also conducted a protest of his own, refusing to take press conferences and collecting fines as a result.
The serial winner had previously backed up Ronaldo by saying it was easier to make transfers when he coached Hilal.
Jesus backs Cristiano Ronaldo claims
And he’s now doubled down on those claims in his first press conference after the whole fiasco.
“I’ve already been at Al Hilal . I’ve already benefited from it,” he said.
“They have more economic power. When I was there, I benefited as a coach.
“It’s normal. Al Nassr, with different resources, has to compete for the top spots.”
