Al Nassr have received some brutal news ahead of two season-defining ‘finals’.
The Saudi Pro League-leaders will lose head coach Jorge Jesus once the season is complete.
Record have confirmed reports that the serial winner has informed the club’s CEO and sporting director of his decision to leave.
He will then travel back to Lisbon to sign a contract with Fenerbahce, a club he last coached in 2022/23.
The timing of the news isn’t great for Nassr, who have two final matches to decide their season after an uncharacteristic trophyless stint since Cristiano Ronaldo joined in 2022.
Tomorrow they play Gamba Osaka in the final of the Asian Champions League Two (Asian Europa League) with Jesus making Nassr the first ever Saudi finalists.
At the same time, Al Hilal play Neom in the league, and anything other than a win would secure the title for Nassr with a game to play.
Jesus, 71, has won in every country he’s coached in, across Portugal, Brazil, Turkey and Saudi.
All in all he has 24 titles to his name, and could be quite the coup for Fener who are looking to finally dethrone Galatasaray after sacking Domencio Tedesco.
