Ruben Amorim said he was ready to learn and adapt from his Manchester United failures, and he’s already showing signs.
The Portuguese joined AC Milan for the new season and admitted it was an even greater challenge than the one before.
He also said he’d need to change a few things to capture his early successes at Sporting, and surprisingly, that includes his attire.

Milan travelled to Scotland to face Celtic in a 2-2 friendly draw and Amorim was dressed in a suit rather than his usual t-shirt or tracksuit.
Explaining the appearance post-match, he said: “I felt some pressure from my staff, who told me that things are different here and that I have to present myself differently.
“Milan is the fashion city, so I have to represent it in the best possible way.
“And part of this club’s history is not limited to how we play, but also how we represent ourselves and the city.
“Therefore, this is how I will dress on the bench.”
Amorim also spoke about a so far successful transfer window.
Milan have broken their transfer record for Goncalo Ramos and on top of that Amorim has convinced Luka Modric to stay for another year.

Discussing the legendary Croatian, Amorim said: “How many more years will he play? It depends on his will.
“From what I saw last season, he can still play at a high level. He was very good not only last season but also at the World Cup. And I believe we need experience.
“We have a lot of youth and, for them to succeed, they need experienced players around them.
“We made a great effort to keep him and I believe he is happy. Now we have to raise the level and play better.
“I’m the same age as him, so I’m young. But sometimes age doesn’t matter, experience does. And with all the experience I’ve gained, both positive and negative, that’s important.
“I would be happy if this were my final destination. Every time I wake up, I feel lucky to coach a club like Milan, it’s a dream to be here. But I also know that I will be judged based on my next game…”
Amorim also discussed potential departures, with Rafael Leao and Saelemaekers strongly linked with exits from the club.
He said: “The team is the most important thing.
“I will speak with Rafael, Ramos, Saelemaekers and all the other players who are returning from the World Cup to explain what we will do.
“I know there are many rumours about some of our players, but they are ours until proven otherwise.
“Everyone will train hard for a place in the team, that’s for sure. There are no surprises.
“I treat the players differently because each one is a different human being, but the rules apply to everyone. It’s very simple.”
