Vinicius Jr may be an opinion divider, but one person on his side is certainly Ronald Araujo.
The pair of South Americans have previously praised each other’s games in the media, and there is clearly plenty of love, as the latest Clasico showed.
Barcelona and Real Madrid shared an enthralling first-half in the Supercopa final with the score 2-2 after 45 minutes.
There were also a number of bust-ups, but not between Vinicius and Araujo, who bumped into each other at the break.
The pair could be seen exchanging words, with MARCA reporting ‘Vini’ was inquiring about the Uruguayan’s recent mental health break.
Speaking in October, Araujo said of Vinicius: “What I see is what he does on the pitch, for me, he’s a spectacular player.
“Whenever we faced each other, he was very professional. He brings out the best in you, which is what great players do.
“Personally, I love players like Vinicius, who are daring, confrontational… The important thing is that he plays football.”
Araujo was returning to the Barcelona squad for the first time in over a month, having taken time out to deal with mental health struggles.
