Sergio Ramos has offered to play for Sevilla while attempting to buy his former club.
The 39-year-old fronts a consortium that has been given a period of exclusivity to assess Sevilla’s accounts and submitted an intent to buy.
Ramos hasn’t played football since leaving Monterrey in December but all signs suggest he wants to continue with rumours he was close to joining Nice in France.
Now AS add that he’s offered his services to Sevilla who conceded four goals to Real Mallorca last time out and are being pulled back into a relegation battle.
LaLiga regulations state that Ramos would not be able to own and play for the club, but any takeover is expected to take months.
AS claim the decision rests with president Del Nido Carrasco, sporting director Antonio Cordón, and coach Matías Almeyda.
